To help navigate through this ever-growing accumulation of things MG, I thought it might be helpful to make it easier to jump around to find what you are looking for. The subtitles are representative of comments many of us get from spouses, buddies, and others that just don't understand....
I purchased a Tartan Red '67 MGB-GT during the summer of 1976. The leather seats were badly worn, so I made some slip-over seat covers out of black corduroy (that was before the Levi's Jeep seats were popular!) It was a fairly solid car - except for some rocker panel rust which 20 pounds of bondo cured (hey - I was a poor college student!), and ran strong all the way through college. If I can find my old photos, I'll put a picture of it on here. Contrary to my father's warnings - it was a dependable car. Sure . . . it had it's problems, but it only stranded me once in five years of daily driving and a lot of neglect.
I sold it in 1980. It was a third car, not seeing any use, sitting in our apartment complex parking lot. In a way, I wish I had kept it, but deep down, I really wanted a roadster.
Every once in a while I would find an MG in the paper
and go look at it, only to find it was not what I was looking for. I finally
found a roadster on the Internet in November of 1996. It was just a short
drive from Alabama to Washington, but the 5500 mile trip was worth it. It
was a family vacation to a part of the country we have never visited before.
We took a roundabout route that allowed us to visit friends and relatives
in Texas, see the Painted Desert, Grand Canyon, Shoshone Falls, Idaho, and
an unexpected heavy snow storm in Seattle, WA!
I am now the proud owner of a Black Tulip 1973 MGB. I've temporarily added a rear seat from a MGB-GT (thanks to Lawrie Alexander and Randy Johnson - both frequent contributors to the MGS list) and a seat belt on the passenger side so my 7 year old daughter can participate in "family drives". These photos are what the car looked like when I first got it home. A few minor dings and scratches, and some original dealer applied tape stripes that were cracking and missing in places. Click on the images for larger versions.
5/11/98: Well...I let my insurance policy expire while I was repainting the car - so I had to shoot a few photos for the new insurance policy. I guess you will have to look at them too! :)
Just click on the small images to view much larger ones.
BTW - I've received feedback from several visitors that the previous images
were too small. These are all around 80K in size and will more than fill
most screens. I wonder what the comments will be now... :)

This is a utility that allows you to find data for almost
all SU needles. You can also search for alternate needles within a user defined
