Music

If you have Crescendo...then you can chose from one of the songs in the list below. Once you have the song up and running, just minimize the window and continue surfing my page. I'm open to other suggested MIDI files - if you are willing to provide them.

Have fun! - by the way..thanks to Henk for the Java Script!

You are visitor number

It doesn't matter to me how many people visit this page, but I do care what YOU think. I would appreciate your signing my Guestbook and letting me know your impressions. . . or dropping me an e-mail message - who knows - I might even write back!

Who am I?

I am a Mechanical Engineer supporting the testing of Life Support and Thermal Control Space Station hardware at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, in Huntsville, AL.

I am also the web page administrator for a community project called Kid's Kingdom - where our local community raised funds and built a playground in October of 1997. The playground was designed by Leathers and Associates of Ithaca, NY.

Here's a picture of Rich - any resemblance to someone you actually know is strictly a coincidence.

Interests / hobbies:

When I'm not at work, I can be found in the garage, working on some project (usually a small British car). In my spare time, I enjoy playing golf, scuba diving, photography, and computer graphics.

Photo album

I enjoy taking pictures of places I visit and things I see. I used to do a lot of my own B&W work, when I had a place for my darkroom. Now I rely on photo labs to do the dirty work for me!

I enjoy using my computer and dye-sub printer to print some of my favorite images at home. Who knows...maybe someday I'll get back into the chemical processing and try some color work...Naaaahhhhh!
The following two sections have a few of my pictures in 160 x 120 size to save screen loading time. Just click on the text below the image if you want to see a larger (roughly 640 x 480 x 16.7M) image. Please...these are for your viewing pleasure, and are not to be redistributed or used for commercial purposes without my written permission. All photos are copyrighted ©1998-2000. Enjoy!!

Check back periodically...I have many more, but just haven't had time to digitize them.

The recent addition of a flatbed scanner means I have more work to do and fewer excuses. Hang in there - coming soon are my Grand Canyon pics from 11/96 - yeah - it's taking a while, huh? :)

Underwater

All of the underwater photos were taken with a Nikonos V body, SB103 flash, and the 35mm f2.8 lens.

Macros were shot with the same equipment plus one of several assorted extension rings.

All images were digitized using a Awesome Pictures by Snappy logo video frame grabber and a video camera.

Some Home-made Software / Utilities

Well, these are nothing fancy - just some routines that I wrote to solve a few minor problems. Feel free to download and use them, but remember - they are not supported or warranteed - so use at your own risk.

Split/Rejoin (55K) a utility for breaking up large files to floppies. (Windows / DOS)

NEWK 1.0 (30K) a utility for Newton users having problems installing some packages that were improperly unarchived from the MacInTrash OS (my Mac-weenie friend hates it when I say that!). (Windows / DOS)
