So much has been given me, I have no time to ponder over that which has been
denied. -Helen Keller
This page was updated on May 5, 2003. This page now has a Developmental
Therapy link so that you can look at her development throughtout each stage.
This gives a better perspective of her development and also makes it much easier
for me to update her page. Please look at her
developmental therapy page.
Abby's Biography
Abby was born on November 17, 1997, she weighed 4 pounds 1 ounce at birth.
She was diagnosed with
Cri-du-chat syndrome (CDC) at 3 months. A genetic test showed a partial
deletion of chromosome 5 on the short arm (P) with
the break point at 5p.15.2. To learn more about chromosomes and what causes
some chromosome disorders, visit the
Karyotyping Page.
        She is attending phyical therapy,
occupational therapy, and speech therapy. She is responding
well to all therapy and is an otherwise very healthy, happy, and beautiful
little girl. We have also been doing a lot of other

at home with Abby.
